જ્યારે શહેરમાં ઉનાળો હોય છે,
અને ઈંટો ગરમીથી ધગધગી રહી હોય છે,
ત્યારે આઇસક્રીમવાળો તેની નાની લારી લઈને
શેરીઓમાં રડતો રડતો (ધીમે ધીમે) જાય છે.
તેની ગોળ છત્રી નીચે,
ઓહ, કેટલું સુંદર અને આનંદદાયક દ્રશ્ય છે!

વાવાઝોડામાં રોબિન્સન ક્રુસોનું વહાણ ભાંગી પડ્યું હતું. તે ઘણા વર્ષો સુધી એક ટાપુ પર એકલો રહ્યો. તે કોઈનો સાથ (company) ઇચ્છતો હતો.
ચાલો જોઈએ તેણે શું અનુભવ્યું.
એક દિવસ, રોબિન્સન તેની હોડી તરફ ચાલી રહ્યો હતો. તેણે રેતી પર એક માનવ પગનું નિશાન જોયું. તે આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈને ઉભો રહી ગયો! તે જિજ્ઞાસુ બન્યો અને બધે શોધખોળ કરી પણ ત્યાં કોઈ નહોતું. તેણે વિચાર્યું કે આ તેની કલ્પના હતી. છતાં તેને શંકા હતી. તેણે લાંબા સમય સુધી વિચાર્યું. આખરે તે ખૂબ જ ગભરાઈને પોતાની ગુફામાં પાછો ફર્યો. દરેક ઝાડ અને છોડવાને માણસ સમજીને તે વારંવાર પાછળ જોતો હતો.
જ્યારે પણ તે પોતાની ગુફામાં આવતો (જેને તે તેનો 'કિલ્લો' કહેતો), ત્યારે તે અંદર ભાગી જતો જાણે કોઈ તેનો પીછો કરી રહ્યું હોય. તે ડરી ગયો હતો અને રાત્રે ઊંઘી શકતો ન હતો. તેણે વિચાર્યું કે મુખ્ય ભૂમિ (mainland) પરથી કોઈ જંગલી લોકો (savages) હોઈ શકે છે. તેઓ આ ટાપુ પર ભટકતા હોઈ શકે.
રોબિન્સને વિચાર્યું કે જો જંગલી લોકો આવશે તો તેઓ તેને મારી નાખશે. આનાથી તે ડરી ગયો. તેણે પોતાની સલામતી માટે પ્રાર્થના કરી. આમ કરવાથી તેને શાંતિ મળી અને તે ફરીથી તપાસ કરવા ગયો. હવે પણ, જેમ જેમ તે આગળ વધતો ગયો, તેમ તેમ તે વારંવાર પાછળ જોતો રહ્યો. તે હજી પણ ખૂબ ડરેલો હતો.
જેમ જેમ દિવસો વીતતા ગયા અને તેને કંઈ ન મળ્યું, ત્યારે તે થોડો હિંમતવાન બન્યો. તેણે ફરીથી કિનારે જઈને પગના નિશાનની તપાસ કરવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. તેણે તેને પોતાના પગના નિશાન સાથે માપ્યું.
આમ કરવાથી તેને સમજાયું કે તે તેના પોતાના પગ કરતાં મોટું લાગતું હતું. ફરીથી તે ડરી ગયો!
તે કોઈના સાથ માટે તલસતો હતો પણ સાથે પોતાની સુરક્ષા માટે ચિંતિત પણ હતો!

પ્રકાશ તેના ઉનાળાના વેકેશનની તૈયારી કરી રહ્યો હતો તેથી તે ખૂબ જ ઉત્સાહિત હતો. તે ક્યારેય ટ્રેનમાં બેઠો નહોતો. તેના કાકાના ઘરે જવાના વિચારે જ તેનામાં રોમાંચ ભરી દીધો. તેણે પૂછ્યું, "મમ્મી, હું પહેલા ક્યારેય ટ્રેનમાં ગયો નથી! તે કેવું હશે?"

My Favourite Place: Saputara
My favourite place is Saputara. It is a beautiful hill station in Gujarat. It is not very big, but it is very clean, green, and peaceful. There are many high hills, lush green trees, a big lake, and a lovely waterfall. I enjoy boating in the lake and riding the ropeway there. I also walked through the sunrise and sunset points. I visited Saputara with my family last monsoon, and the atmosphere was magical. I like it very much because of its fresh air and cool weather.

Good morning respected teachers and friends. Today, I want to share my experience of visiting a nearby school named "Government Primary School, Sitapur". Our school arranged a visit last month.
