ખોરાક સરસ અને તંદુરસ્ત છે, ખાવા માટે ચપાતી, ભાત અને મીઠાઈઓ,
યોગ અને આસન આપણી સંપત્તિ છે, તે આપણને આંતરિક શક્તિ આપે છે.
વર્ષ ૪૫૫૫ હતું. શ્રી નીલેશ શર્મા તેમના પૌત્ર કિરણ સાથે હિમાચલ પ્રદેશમાં રહેતા હતા. તેઓ એક શોધક (inventor) હતા. એકવાર, કિરણને તેના દાદાજીની પ્રયોગશાળામાં એક વિચિત્ર મશીન મળ્યું. દાદાજીએ તેને કહ્યું કે તે ટાઇમ મશીન છે. એક વૈજ્ઞાનિકે તેની શોધ કરી હતી. કિરણે કહ્યું, "દાદાજી, હું ૨૦૨૫ માં પાછા જવા માંગુ છું. ટાઇમ મશીન ચાલુ કરો." વહાલા બાળકની ઘણી વિનંતીઓ પછી દાદાજી સંમત થયા. ટાઇમ મશીન દ્વારા તેમની પ્રવાસ શરૂ થઈ.
કિરણનો પહેલો મુકામ રાજસ્થાનનું એક ગામ હતું. તે ત્યાં એક કુશળ કઠપૂતળીના કલાકારને મળ્યો. કઠપૂતળીના કલાકારે તેને કઠપૂતળીની પ્રાચીન કળા વિશે જણાવ્યું. કિરણ તે તેના રંગબેરંગી કઠપૂતળીઓનો ઉપયોગ કેવી રીતે કરે છે તે જોઈને આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયો.
ત્યારબાદ, કિરણ ઓડિશાના એક આદિવાસી ગામમાં પહોંચ્યો. તે ત્યાં એક પ્રતિભાશાળી કલાકારને મળ્યો. તેણીએ તેને આદિવાસી ચિત્રકામની વિવિધ ડિઝાઇન અને ભાત (patterns) બતાવી. કિરણને ખબર પડી કે કળા લોકોને તેમના વારસા સાથે કેવી રીતે જોડે છે.
પછી તે અસમ ગયો. ત્યાં તેને બીહૂ તહેવાર વિશે જાણવા મળ્યું. ત્યાં ત્રણ બીહૂ તહેવારો હતા: બોહાગ બીહૂ, માઘ બીહૂ અને કાટી બીહૂ. તેણે ત્યાં બીહૂ નૃત્યનો પણ આનંદ માણ્યો.
તે પછી કિરણે પંજાબમાં એક ઉત્સવનો આનંદ માણ્યો. ત્યાં તેણે લણણીની ઋતુની ઉજવણી કરતા ખેડૂતો સાથે નૃત્ય કર્યું. તેણે વૈશાખીની આનંદદાયક પરંપરાઓ વિશે શીખ્યું.
કિરણનું આગામી સાહસ તેને કેરળ લઈ ગયું. તે ત્યાં એક અગ્રણી નૃત્ય ગુરુને મળ્યો. તેણે કથકલી નૃત્યના મુશ્કેલ પગલાં જોયા અને મહોરાં (masks) વિશે શીખ્યું.
છેવટે, કિરણે ગુજરાતના કચ્છના એક રણના ગામની મુલાકાત લીધી. ત્યાં, તે એક પ્રતિભાશાળી વણકરને મળ્યો. તેણીએ તેને પરંપરાગત કાપડના સુંદર ભાત અને રંગો બતાવ્યા. કિરણે જોયું કે કેવી રીતે દરેક તાંતણો એક વાર્તા કહી રહ્યો હતો.
કિરણને સમજાયું કે ભારતની લોકસંસ્કૃતિ વાર્તાઓ, કળા અને પરંપરાઓનો ખજાનો છે. આ ટાઇમ મશીને કિરણનું જીવન બદલી નાખ્યું.

સંગમપુરમાં એક કાવડીયો (પાણી લાવનાર) રહેતો હતો. તેની પાસે બે મોટા માટલાં હતાં. તે લાકડીની મદદથી માટલાં પોતાની કાંધ પર ઊંચકીને જતો હતો. માટલાં કાવડની જેમ લાકડીના બંને છેડે બાંધેલા હતા. તે આ બે માટલામાં તેના શેઠના ઘરે પાણી પહોંચાડતો હતો.
એક માટલામાં કાણું હતું પણ બીજું માટલું સાજું (પરફેક્ટ) હતું. નદીથી શેઠના ઘર સુધીના લાંબા અંતરના અંતે, પહેલું માટલું અડધું ભરેલું રહેતું અને બીજું આખું ભરેલું રહેતું.
આવું બે મહિના સુધી ચાલ્યું. કાવડીયો તેના શેઠના ઘરે ફક્ત દોઢ માટલું પાણી પહોંચાડતો હતો. સ્વાભાવિક રીતે, સાજું માટલું ખુશ અને ગર્વ અનુભવતું હતું. પરંતુ બિચારું કાણાવાળું માટલું દુઃખી હતું કારણ કે તેમાં કાણું હતું.
બે મહિના પછી, એક દિવસ કાણાવાળા માટલાએ કાવડીયાને કહ્યું, "હું મારા પોતાના પર શરમાઉં છું અને હું તમને સોરી કહેવા માંગુ છું." કાવડીયાએ પૂછ્યું, "કેમ? તું શા માટે શરમાય છે?" માટલાએ જવાબ આપ્યો, "છેલ્લા બે મહિનાથી, મેં બીજા માટલા કરતાં ઓછું પાણી પહોંચાડ્યું છે. શેઠના ઘર સુધીના રસ્તામાં મારું પાણી લીક થઈ જાય છે. મારા કાણાને કારણે તમને તમારી મહેનતનું પૂરું વળતર મળતું નથી."
કાવડીયાને માટલા માટે દયા આવી. તેણે માટલાને કહ્યું, "આજે જ્યારે આપણે શેઠના ઘરે પાછા ફરીએ, ત્યારે હું ઈચ્છું છું કે તું રસ્તાના કિનારે આવેલા સુંદર ફૂલોને જો." જ્યારે તેઓ પાછા ફર્યા, ત્યારે માટલાએ સૂર્યના પ્રકાશમાં રસ્તાની પોતાની બાજુના સુંદર ફૂલો ખીલેલા જોયા. સુંદર ફૂલો જોઈને તે ખુશ થઈ ગયું. પણ રસ્તાના અંતે, તેને ફરીથી ખરાબ લાગ્યું કારણ કે તેમાંથી અડધું પાણી ફરીથી લીક થઈ ગયું હતું.
કાવડીયાએ માટલાને કહ્યું, "શું તેં માત્ર તારી બાજુના રસ્તા પરના ફૂલો જ જોયા? બીજા માટલાની બાજુમાં કોઈ ફૂલો નહોતા. હું તારા કાણા વિશે જાણતો હતો. મેં રસ્તાની તારી બાજુએ ફૂલોના બીજ વાવ્યા હતા. દરરોજ જ્યારે આપણે નદી પરથી પાછા ચાલતા હતા, ત્યારે લીક થયેલું પાણી તેમના પર પડતું હતું. દરેક વ્યક્તિ મહત્વપૂર્ણ છે અને દરેક વસ્તુ ઉપયોગી છે."

Block Level Science Fair
Date: 25/02/2024
Place: Vadodara
The Block Level Science Fair was organized on 25th February, 2024 on the playground of Sharda Vidyalay, Vadodara. The theme was 'Science and Environment.' There were five sections based on the theme. The students of standard 1 to 8 took part in it. The aim of the science fair was to develop students' love for science. It provided a platform to present their researches and experiments.
Our Sarpanch, Mr. Muljibhai Vankar was the chief guest. He is a science graduate. He gave an inspiring speech. He spoke about science in our day-to-day life. He inspired the students. Then the students and the teachers of surrounding villages came to visit the science fair. People of our village also saw the science projects. Projects focused on basic scientific principles, such as renewable energy models, water purification techniques, and simple machines, robots, solar-powered devices and waste management systems. The judges visited all the sections of the science fair. They asked questions to the participants and noted marks. The programme was ended by an award ceremony.
The programme was a great success. It gave us message to see science around us.
