હાલમાં વાવમાં વિવિધ દેવી-દેવતાઓના લગભગ 400 જેટલા મોટા શિલ્પો છે. તેના મૂળ માળખામાં ભૂતકાળમાં આ સંખ્યાઓ ઘણી વધારે હશે. દરેક માળ પર દીવાલો પર કોતરેલા શિલ્પો અને કારીગરીની સુંદરતાની પ્રશંસા કરવા માટે મુલાકાતીઓ માટે એક સાંકડી ગેલેરી/કોરિડોર છે. વાવના સ્તંભો પણ તેમાંથી બાકાત નથી. તેઓ પથ્થર પર ઉત્કૃષ્ટ કલાત્મક ભવ્યતા દર્શાવે છે.

A Visit to Rani Ki Vaav Last summer vacation, I visited Rani Ki Vaav in Patan along with my family. It is a world-famous stepwell built by Queen Udayamati in memory of King Bhimdev I of the Solanki dynasty. As we entered the complex, I was amazed to see its seven-storeyed subterranean architecture. The stone carvings on the pillars and walls are breathtaking. I saw magnificent sculptures of Lord Vishnu in various avatars, Goddess Gauri, Apsaras, and many other deities. Our guide explained how this stepwell remained hidden under silt for nearly seven centuries before ASI excavated and restored it. It was a memorable trip that made me feel proud of our rich cultural heritage.

  7. Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park: It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring ancient Hindu and Islamic structures. It contains mosques, temples, fortresses, and residential precincts.




  8. Uparkot Fort (Junagadh): An ancient fort constructed during the Mauryan Empire. It houses Buddhist caves, stepwells, and massive battle canons.




  9. Lothal (Dholka): It is one of the most prominent ancient cities of the Indus Valley Civilization. It features the world's earliest known artificial dockyard.




  10. Sarkhej Roza (Ahmedabad): An elegant mosque and tomb complex dedicated to Sufi saint Sheikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh. It displays fine Islamic architecture with Hindu design influences.
